• Museum Greeter:  Museum Greeters welcome guests to the museum, provide information, answer questions, and serve as Goodwill Ambassadors for our community.   Click here to see the Greeter Information Page. (Contact Tammy for access password.)
• Teaching Assistants: Don’t be scared away by the “teaching” word!  Teaching assistants will function as stationed tour guides or interpreters primarily during adult and youth group tours, but also during special events and other times of high visitor traffic.  Duties include providing information about the exhibit in an interactive way.  Museum staff will help you learn everything you need to know to be a happy teaching assistant.
• Archive Assistants: Archive assistants will be work in the museum's Knox Research Library & Archive on Tuesdays through Saturdays.  There are two shifts per day available: 9:30 to 12:30 and 12:30 to 3:30. Duties include greeting visitors to the library; helping visitors sign in and state their research needs; making them familiar with the card catalog and notebook indexes; alerting staff to items needed from secure storage; supervising use of archival reference materials; and assisting with historical research as directed.
• Gift Shop Volunteers: Tasks include sales, customer service, dusting, restocking, pricing, and some volunteer correspondence duties.  Immediate needs are on Saturdays during temporary exhibits and special events. There are two shifts available: 9:30 to 12:30 and 12:30 to 3:30.  We’ll also need Gift Shop Volunteers regularly on Saturdays and on Sunday afternoons between 11:00 and 3:00 from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Additional shifts will be scheduled when tours group are visiting.
